Web internet marketing requires focus, concentration, and follow through. All three are important, but right now we’ll take a look at ‘focus.’
A lot of web marketers focus on the wrong things, meaning they spend too much time on activities that don’t make them any money. They “twitter” away time on Twitter, building “follower” lists that do not make money, or they chat on forums or Facebook without making any money. They listen to webinars rehashing the same things, or they get swamped with e-mails by joining list after list.
Not all of these activities are all bad for the web internet marketing business person. They do have their place, but it’s not in the forefront priority-wise.
So, what is, you ask? Well, here’s my list:
(1) Create your own products/services and register with Clickbank or PayDotCom or a similar organization. This includes sales pages, e-mail newsletters, thank-you page ads, etc. Your goal is to attract affiliates to market your creations.
(2) Network with other successful marketers, be it as a mentor, mentee, as part of a brain trust, or as part of a joint venture. The more you interact with other like-minded internet marketers, the more you will learn and earn.
(3) Make some time to read–online and offline–and learn new skills. Setting aside even thirty minutes a day to read can pay off in the long run. Internet marketing is an ever changing field. Keep up as best you can.
(4) As your income grows, don’t forget to outsource the repetitive, boring tasks. Backlinking and article writing are most times better to outsource, so that you can free up your time to work on your product/service creations.
It all comes down to managing your time efficiently, and spending the most time on the most important tasks. That’s what ‘focus’ is all about in web internet marketing.
